My Third Job Brought Me to Cryptocurrency
In 2018 to 2019, I was doing a cryptocurrency project given by a financial technology (fintech) company where I worked for. The project was some sort of a cryptocurrency exchange where users did transactions such as buy, trade, and sell cryptos.
In the project, I was working on the content creation and handling the social media strategy. In other words, I helped promote the brand through multiple channels to make cryptocurrency mainstream in the country.
Cryptocurrency and its underlying technology that is Blockchain were new to me and I had no basic knowledge about them at all. What I knew was Bitcoin, since it was always in the news for its highly volatile price.
Aside from that, the digital currency industry is evolving rapidly, even in the pandemic era. Look at it now, the valuation of most popular digital currency is nearly four times larger than Amazon CEO’s fortune, according to Forbes.
However, there is always room for improvement. I am a quick learner. Therefore, I used this valuable chance to learn about cryptocurrency.
In the interview, I could convince the PM who recruited me that I was able to write almost everything beyond tech. I am so thankful that I find investing in cryptocurrency exciting and easy after all.
The cryptocurrency exchange was running well in the first place. But the company should have expanded the team of employees and made sufficient effort for marketing.
We need a powerful marketing team for sure. We actually had a business development person but he didn’t manage to work long for punctuality and disease issues. And, there was no replacement.
As a result, the development of the cryptocurrency exchange was then halted, but the website I believe is still live until now. The last time I checked recently, it was operational though it has stopped providing any services.
